Today we wanted to share a few photographs of our past retail showrooms and take a trip down memory lane. Over the years we’ve proudly had furniture stores in Boston, Grantham, Newark, and now our current showroom in Sutton-on-Trent.
As the pine furniture industry grew rapidly across the UK and Europe throughout the 1980s and 1990s, demand for quality handcrafted furniture continued to rise, leading us to open new showrooms, particularly across Lincolnshire. At our busiest we employed well over 30 dedicated members of staff, and it was their hard work and commitment that helped us build the business we have today.
As a family business, we’re incredibly proud of the journey we’ve been on. More than 53 years later, we’re still designing and manufacturing beautiful furniture, welcoming new generations of customers through our doors, and doing what we love. Thank you to everyone who has supported Roy Walker Furniture over the years—we couldn’t have done it without you.
