Demolitioned- pictures show how a old landmark hotel in Eccles which put up high profile showbiz stars including Tom Jones, Dusty Springfield’s and has been buldozed to make way for a new development.
After standing for more than 43 years, the former Wendover’s Hotel was flattened in just 3 weeks.
The distinctive white building on Monton Road which was renamed the “Monton House Hotel” – closed last year after the owners went into administration in December 2012.
As well as famous guests, including American vocal group The Drifter, the hotel has also hosted hundreds of weddings, christenings.
The Timber Salvaged from this Demolition will be used to create some amazing pieces of furniture!
